Lindsay A. Singh

I grew up in Reston, VA and moved back to Florida for college. I attended the University of South Florida for both of my degrees. I enjoyed my college experience so much I decided to stay in the field and make it my career to support students in their academic journey. In college I was an RA, worked in Financial Aid and worked with Academic Initiatives in Housing. In my work with students and professional staff my goal is to empower and support so others can achieve their goals. In addition to the work I do at FGCU I practice yoga and I read all things Dr. Brené Brown.

Natasha "Tasha" Ziegler

I was born in Conyers, Georgia, and raised in Golden Gate, Florida. I attended Florida Gulf Coast University for my degrees in Communication, BS and School Counseling, MA. I am presently enrolled in the Ed.D. program with a focus on Higher Education Leadership. I enjoyed serving as an Orientation Leader, Student Office Assistant, and Peer Advisor so much that I decided to continue my career in Higher Education. Helping students navigate the maze of the college experience has always been very enjoyable for me. Outside of work, I try to keep my garden alive, listen to podcasts and leadership development books, working on my 5k, attending car shows, and spending time with my husband.

Suzy Ponicsan

Gail Mishler Murray

Greetings all, my first name Saül is pronounced (Sa-you’ll) and I am a first-generation student. My journey in higher education began at Florida Atlantic University, where I obtained my undergraduate degree. I recently received my Master’s degree here at Florida Gulf Coast University in the M.E. Educational Leadership program. I previously served as a Graduate Assistant for the Multicultural and Leadership Development Center (MLD), and most recently the Program Assistant for the TRIO & Outreach Programs here on our campus. My previous roles and experiences, the guidance of mentors, along with my graduate journey here at FGCU has provided the opportunity to call higher education my home as a career. I am a native of Haiti, I speak Haitian creole fluently, and I speak French moderately. I am very excited for the opportunity to work alongside the Center for Academic Achievement (CAA’s) team to cultivate an environment that will contribute to the overall success of the FGCU student populations.

Kelsey Fischell

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and attended FGCU, where I earned both my B.A. and M.A. in English. As a graduate student, I worked as a writing consultant helping students grow their writing skills and confidence, so it was a natural transition into becoming the Writing Lab Coordinator! When I am not collaborating with my student team and working to support students, I serve as co-host to the NCLCA Today podcast and social media manager for the Writing Lab mascot (follow @alejandrothesheep!).

I was born in a small village in the countryside of Ecuador. I am the youngest in the family and the only one that was able to go to college. When I was 18 years old, I moved to Quito (the Capital of Ecuador) to study in the Central University. I earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Education. I worked various jobs in retail and for construction companies. In 2007, I moved to Cape Coral, Florida. It has been a very exciting experience because I had to learn a new language and adjust to a new culture. I worked in the Florida Health Department as a Peer Counselor and at Four Freedoms Park as a Spanish tutor. Then in 2013, I had to move back to Ecuador and I ventured into the hotel business. I built a hotel in a beach town on the Pacific Coast of Ecuador that was unfortunately hit by a 7.8 earthquake which caused a lot of damage in the town. I reconstructed and ran the hotel until the pandemic forced us to close it. Then in 2020, I returned to Cape Coral, Florida to start over. Outside of work, I enjoy doing yoga, reading, and spending time with my family and dogs.

Jori Remington

I was born outside of Chicago but my parents moved the family to Cape Coral, Florida when I was six years old. I have lived in a variety of other Florida cities, including Sarasota, Gainesville, Ft. Myers Beach, Weston, and Boca Raton before ending up back in Cape Coral in 2004. I have a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Florida and then returned to school to the Educator Preparation Institute at the former Edison College so I could become certified as a teacher. I have done a variety of jobs in my life from fast food to proofreading ads for major retailers to substitute teaching but most of my time after college was spent raising my son. Outside of work, I love to write, paint, knit, and take very long naps.
